Daniel A. Keim
Daniel A. Keim is professor and head of the Information Visualization and Data Analysis Research Group in the Computer Science Department of the University of Konstanz, Germany. He is actively involved in data analysis and information visualization research for digital humanities applications. He is principle investigator in a number of digital humanities projects, such as the BMBF-funded VisArgue project, in which he works closely with researchers from linguistics and political science. He is coordinator of the German Strategic Research Initiative (SPP) on Scalable Visual Analytics and was the scientific coordinator of an EU Coordination Action on Visual Analytics.
Keim got his Ph.D. and habilitation degrees in Computer Science from the University of Munich. He was professor at the University of Halle and senior researcher at the AT&T Shannon Research Labs, NJ, USA, before he joined the University of Konstanz in 2000.
